DEADLINES EXTENDED TO MAY 9TH!!!
Two outstanding opportunities to position your company for the future occur this month. The BIM “Boot Camp” focuses on an emerging technology that experts believe will change the way business is done in the Construction Industry. The Competitive Contractors Summit will help you (successfully) take advantage of business opportunities in other parts of Michigan.
“I have been involved in planning both programs, so I am convinced that key people from every ABC member firm need to attend each program! This is about business survival….how you will work and where you will work in the future!!”
Building Information Modeling (BIM) “Boot Camp”- Tuesday, May 13, 2008
BIM “Boot Camp” Keynoter Architect Mike Neville will be followed by two panels (local Design Professionals and Construction Industry Professionals) and a presentation about BIM software, hardware and employee training.
BIM is the “hottest technology” in the industry today and you (and your team) will learn what BIM is and why it is being adopted by every important architectural and engineering firm in west Michigan. Contractors, Specialty Subcontractors and Suppliers will need to have this capability to function in a “BIM Environment” and be integrated as a project team partner.
“Take my word….you need to see the future, and this BIM “Boot Camp” will do that! Companies that are focused on success will attend. Don’t hear about it second hand and wish you could have been there. It will be worth your time, so Register Today!!”

Competitive Contractors Summit – Thursday, May 29, 2008(ABC Members and Employees ONLY, NO non-members!) One thing the present economy in Michigan has taught ABC member companies is that they must be willing to travel to where their clients and/or project opportunities take them. The companies that have this attitude are finding success, but it is not without some “growing pains”!
ABC of MI and its four Chapters are bringing members together to minimize these “growing pains” for company owners, project managers, supervisors and other key employees. Potential opportunities and problems await you in other parts of Michigan, mainly Lansing, Northern Michigan, Saginaw Valley, Ann Arbor and the Metro Detroit areas. Challenges by unions, building inspectors, city/county governments and the logistical problems of operating on a remote jobsite will be explored. Presenters are labor relations professionals, ABC members and Chapter staffs who have experienced the challenges first hand. Will your company move “smartly” into unfamiliar areas or will you attend the “School of Hard Knocks!”? See registration materials attached or go to: www.abcmi.com to register. For more information about the Summit, click here. Early Bird Discount extended to May 9th!!
“I guarantee these two events will be attended by ABC’s most progressive companies. See how they are positioning themselves to be successful in a market that requires “brains and courage”, not luck to win. See you there!!”
