In 2019, the Leadership Speaker Series hosted three sessions.
Session one speaker was Robert E. Quinn is the Margaret Elliot Tracy Collegiate Professor Emeritus at the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business. His research and writing focuses on purpose, leadership, culture and change. He is one of the co-founders and of the field of Positive Organizational Scholarship and a co-founder of the Center for Positive Organizations. Quinn is the recipient of multiple teaching awards and in a global survey he was recently named one of the top speakers in the world on the topic of organizational culture and related issues.
Session two speaker was Dr. Paul White, a psychologist, speaker, and leadership trainer. As a speaker and trainer, Dr. White has taught around the world, including North America, Europe, South America, Asia, and the Caribbean. His expertise has been requested by Microsoft, NASA, the Centers for Disease Control, the Million Dollar Round Table, ExxonMobil, DIRECTV, L’Oréal, and numerous other national and multi-national organizations.
Session three speaker was Commander Kirk Lippold, USN (Ret.), the former Commander of the USS Cole, and an engaged leader, hands-on crisis management practitioner, and a go-to global security expert for major news networks. CDR Lippold drew upon his Five Pillars of Leadership to offer strategies he learned and applied to instill integrity into his team members and mitigate crises throughout his naval career.
